Bleached

Los Angeles-based sister duo Jennifer and Jessie Clavin knew that things were going to be different for their band Bleached sophomore LP Welcome The Worms. Not only had they managed to charm world renowned producer and engineer, Joe Chiccarelli (Morrissey, The Strokes, Elton John) to join the sisters and their bassist Micayla Grace in the studio, but Jen and Jessie had been crawling out of their own personal dramas. Jessie was evicted from her house and scrambling, while Jen ended a torrid, unhealthy romance. While emotionally spinning, she dove head first into music. She struggled and escaped the pressures with drinking and partying, sometimes to excess, feeling like she was losing herself altogether.

ROCK SOUND (UK) album review of CEMETERY HIGHRISE SLUM (8/10): “The swirling, wholly immersive gloom that’s become their signature provides the foundation. But it’s during the bolder, more aggressive moments that this record truly shines”

Eli Paperboy Reed

“It’s been a wild ride, that’s for sure,” admits Eli “Paperboy” Reed, looking back at the incredible journey that took the boyish-looking yet preternaturally mature soul belter from a Boston high school band room to a Mississippi Delta juke joint, from Sunday morning gigs behind the organ at a tiny South Side Chicago church to headlining the coolest clubs in Brooklyn with his red-hot band, and now, signed to Capitol Records.

Gwenno

Gwenno Saunders is a music producer, DJ, radio presenter and singer from Cardiff. She has recently released her debut solo album, 'Y Dydd Olaf' on Heavenly Recordings inspired by an obscure 70s sci-fi novel of the same name written by nuclear scientist, Owain Owain about a dystopian future where everyone gets turned into robot clones and the only way to document it all is by writing it down in Welsh - a language that the computers who now rule the world can't understand.

Raglans

“The strongest, most self-assured band in years…They have ‘world beaters’ written all over them.” – Hot Press

Raglans are four feisty alt rock dreamers from Dublin. They consist of Stephen Kelly (lead vocals, guitar), Rhos Horan (bass, backing vocals), Conn O’Ruanaidh (drums, backing vocals) and Brendan McGlynn (lead guitar, backing vocals) and they take their name from a poem by Patrick Kavanagh. Happily.

If the circumstances surrounding your birth can define what happens for the rest of your life then the story that Raglans actually formed in a music festival tent was surely an indication of what their future held, for theirs is a rowdy, crowd-teasing musical tumult, all muscular new wave guitars, gritty pop (aka Gritpop) melodies and suitably ragged epic glories.

Residual Kid

In January of 1992 Nirvana’s Nevermind replaced Michael Jackson‘s Dangerous atop the Billboard sales chart, Pop-music and pop-culture would never be the same. Seemingly overnight underground rock music & post-punk culture (popularly dubbed Grunge at the time) became a highly marketable commodity. Eventually the aesthetic, purity, and artistry of an entire music scene was diluted and became everyday, sellable, rhetoric… 25 years passed.

Wild Throne

Wild Throne’s debut three-song EP, Blood Maker, is controlled sonic violence rolled in a layer of psychedelia and topped with epic vocals. The music is as aggressive and powerful as Jane Doe-era Converge if the hardcore heroes were fronted by a young Rob Halford of Judas Priest instead of Jacob Bannon.
