Animal Alpha

A performance at Oslo’s prestigious Øya Festival, earning them 8 of 10 points in British Metal Hammer Magazine, created the buzz around the unknown band Animal Alpha.

Status:
The band rose fast and soon to follow, sold-out two nights at Oslo’s 500-crowd-capacity John Dee club. Without any released material this is quite unique by any standards. A bidding war between none less than 11 record-labels ensued, and the band chose the small indie label Racing Junior, penciling the release of their first EP and album in Norway. They both received smashing reviews from fans and industry.

In short time the EP sold to gold and their two singles/videos got massive national airplay. With gold sales in combination with exploding live-performances, best music video 2005, best debut artist nominees as well as a fast growing following, no wonder Animal Alpha caught the attention of music industry worldwide. Animal Alpha is breaking into new territories. After playing different industry festivals in the US, England, Germany and The Netherlands, Interest from record-labels, booking-agencies, press and festivals worldwide grew and Animal Alpha spent most of the festival-summer 2006 and 2007 playing big festivals in Europe. Among others, Wacken Open Air, Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Mera Luna in Germany, Download festival in England, Pukkelpop in Belgium, Hultsfred in Sweden and Provinssirock in Finland. The band is licensed in Germany through Soulfood records and in Finland through Eastborder records. Parts of Europe, Asia, Australia and the US are still open territories. Today Animal Alpha is in the studio working on their second album.
